Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Mission Center Road
Mission Valley, CA (September 9, 2022) – One person died following a pedestrian accident that occurred Friday on the Interstate 8 Freeway.
According to ABC10 and San Diego Union-Tribune, a silver Nissan sport utility car struck a male party walking within the lanes of the highway in Mission Valley. Earlier reports indicated the collision took place shortly after 8 p.m. just east of Mission Center Road.
Pedestrian Dies in Mission Valley Accident on Interstate 8
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian suffering in injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old San Diego woman, stayed at the scene; and cooperated with the investigation process.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 8 in Mission Valley.
