Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near 8 Freeway Wednesday
Mission Valley, CA (January 12, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 805 Wednesday, the ABC10 News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a male party attempted to cross the freeway from the center-divide. In the area near the interchange at Interstate 8, a red sedan struck the pedestrian.
The collision took place at approximately 8 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, the found the victim lying on the ground. The article published online mentioned the pedestrian had an open head fracture due to the force from the impact. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment.
A Sig Alert was issued at around 8:30 a.m., blocking the left three lanes of traffic.
Investigators continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident on Interstate 805 in Mission Valley.
