1 Killed in Modesto Crash Near Highway 132 and Gates Road
MODESTO, CA (June 16, 2021) – A car crash killed at least one person on Highway 132, known as Maze Boulevard, in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 3:30 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Modesto. They crashed near the intersection of Highway 132 and Gates Road.
2 Vehicles Collide on Maze Boulevard
One of the cars involved rolled onto its side upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated three trapped people from the wreckage.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. They treated the other parties involved for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 132 and Gates Road to shut down for more than two hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Modesto crash is still under investigation.
