1 Killed, 4 Injured in Modesto Crash at Bentley Road and Kemper Road
MODESTO, CA (November 28, 2021) – A head-on crash killed one person and injured several others at Bentley Road and Kemper Road in Modesto.
According to an article published by The Modesto Bee, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:55 p.m.
The incident began when a Toyota sedan was going south on Bentley Road, approaching Kemper Road, east of Modesto. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling north.
The California Highway Patrol said the Toyota then made a left turn in an attempt to go onto Kemper. In the process, the Chevrolet slammed into the passenger side of the sedan.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that the male passenger of the Toyota died as a result of the collision.
The female driver of the sedan sustained major injuries due to the impact. A helicopter took her to the Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Medical personnel treated the man driving the truck and at least two children passengers at the site for the minor injuries they suffered in the incident.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Bentley and Kemper roads to shut down for hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Modesto crash is still under investigation.
