Man, 29, Killed in Modesto Crash at Highway 132 and Kasson Road
MODESTO, CA (December 30, 2021) – A man was killed after a head-on crash at Highway 132 and Kasson Road in Modesto.
According to an article published by the Tracy Press, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:20 p.m.
The incident happened on December 28 when a 2014 Ford truck was going east on Highway 132, approaching Koster Road, in Modesto. At the same time, a Mercedes Benz sedan was traveling west.
The California Highway Patrol said the Ford slowed to about 20 mph to make a left turn onto Koster. In the process, the truck pulled directly in front of the Mercedes.
2 Cars Collide
The Ford then collided with the sedan head-on in the intersection. Both cars obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 29-year-old Modesto man driving the sedan severely injured as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel rushed him to the San Joaquin County General Hospital, where he died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin,
CHP added that the driver of the truck, a 26-year-old Modesto man, ended up unharmed. Officers forced the area of Highway 132 and Kasson Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Modesto crash is still under investigation.
