Pedestrian Killed in Modesto Crash on McHenry Avenue
MODESTO,CA (June 16, 2021) – A pedestrian accident killed a woman on McHenry Avenue in north Modesto.
The Modesto Bee wrote that the fatal collision took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the crash shortly after 3 a.m.
The incident happened on June 14 when a female pedestrian was in the northbound lanes of McHenry Avenue. For an unknown reason, a black Cadillac sedan struck her.
Modesto police said the car hit the woman near the intersection with Standiford Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found her lying on the ground.

The pedestrian sustained major injuries as a result of the Modesto crash. Medical personnel soon rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died on Tuesday.
Her has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the Modesto man driving the Cadillac stopped after hitting the victim.
He stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. Officials forced the northbound lanes of McHenry Avenue to shut down for a time following the accident.
The cause of the Modesto pedestrian collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 209-342-6105.
