2 Officers Hospitalized After Collision at Yosemite Boulevard and Albers Road
Modesto, CA (November 6, 2022) – Two California Highway Patrol officers suffered injuries following a road accident that happened in the area of Yosemite Boulevard and Albers Road.
According to an article published online by the Modesto Bee, the graveyard-shift partners were riding in a CHP patrol unit. Our sources indicated the two officers were responding to a traffic collision early Sunday morning. Authorities said the patrol car entered the intersection of Yosemite and Albers, also known as Geer Road, with lights and siren on.
For reasons still unclear, a 2014 Dodge SUV heading south on Albers also drove through the crossing. The front-end of the SUV slammed into the right side of the CHP vehicle. Due to the force from the impact, the Dodge careened southwest and came to a rest after hitting a power pole.
