Mohammed Mahir Subhi Al Salih, 19, Killed in North Sacramento Car Crash
NORTH SACRAMENTO, CA (May 22, 2021) – A crash at National Drive and Striker Avenue killed Mohammed Mahir Subhi Al Salih in North Sacramento.
The County Coroner’s Office identified the 19-year-old Sacramento man died following the accident which took place on Friday evening.
The incident began when Mahir Subhi Al Salih was riding as a backseat passenger in a Mustang in North Sacramento. The convertible was traveling at a high rate of speed on westbound Striker Avenue.
At the same time, a Chevy Malibu was going around 50 mph north on National Drive. The Mustang then ran a stop sign and crashed into the Chevy at the intersection.

The California Highway Patrol said the convertible overturned after colliding with the Malibu. The impact ejected Mohammed Mahir Subhi Al Salih and another man from their vehicle.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced both men dead at the scene. CBS Sacramento and KCRA News wrote that the wreck occurred on May 21 at about 7:30 p.m.
The speeding driver and the front passenger of the Mustang survived the accident with major injuries. The three occupants of the Malibu, two women and a child, sustained minor wounds.
Medical personnel soon took them to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the fatal North Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
