Moises Mendoza, 21, Seriously Injured in Fresno County Crash at Temperance and North Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 8, 2022) – A fatal crash at Temperance and North avenues in Fresno County seriously injured Moises Mendoza.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 21-year-old Fresno man as the victim in the wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Moises Mendoza was driving a Toyota Corolla in the area of Temperance and North avenues in Fresno County.
At the same time, a Toyota Rav4 was going north on Temperance. CHP said for an unknown reason, the SUV failed to stop at the intersection.
Man, 19, Killed in Wreck
In the process, the RAV4 slammed into the passenger side of the Corolla. Both cars went off the and came to a rest in a dirt field.
Moises Mendoza sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics took him to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the SUV, 48-year-old Benjamin Villa Fuerte, survived with minor injuries. His passenger ended up ejected from their car following the collision.
CHP confirmed that the 19-year-old Clovis man died at the scene. The Fresno Bee and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident occurred on April 6 at around 12:45 a.m.
The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
