2 Injured in Crash on Highway 183 and Espinosa Road Near Salinas
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (September 23, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 183 and Espinosa Road near Salinas.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:17 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Salinas in Monterey County. They crashed on Highway 183, just west of the Espinosa Road intersection.
2 Cars Collide in Monterey County
The incident log described the cars as a silver Toyota Prius and a dark gray Ford Focus. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found two people who complained of pain as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to the Natividad Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 183 near Espinosa to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Monterey County crash is still under investigation.
