1 Seriously Injured in Monterey County Crash at San Miguel Canyon and Charmi
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (December 31, 2021) – A crash seriously injured at least one person at San Miguel Canyon Road and Charmi Lane in Monterey County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Friday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:09 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Monterey County. They crashed at the intersection of San Miguel Canyon Road and Charmi Lane.
The incident log described the cars as a Honda Accord and a minivan. Both vehicles obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Car and Van Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Prunedale and Watsonville. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient the Natividad Medical Center for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. Officers forced the area of San Miguel Canyon and Charmi to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Monterey County crash is still under investigation.
