Major Injury Collision Near Arroyo Seco Road
Monterey County, CA (April 30, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Saturday on Highway 101 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles initially collided in the southbound side of SR-101 in Monterey County. After the crash, a female party apparently stepped out of the vehicle and started running across the highway. Preliminary investigation revealed another car, possibly a gray Honda sedan, was unable to avoid and struck the woman. The crash took place in the area near Arroyo Seco Road.
Pedestrian Badly Hurt in Monterey County Accident on Highway 101
Shortly after 9 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders immediately rendered aid to the female pedestrian found with major injuries. Authorities continue to withhold personal information on the victim pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, the CHP log mentioned a semi truck possible played a role in the collision. Additional details on the big rig involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the injury accident on Highway 101 in Monterey County.
