1 Killed, 1 Critical After Collision on South Atlantic Boulevard Wednesday
Monterey Park, CA (October 20, 2021) – A deadly car accident occurred on South Atlantic Boulevard early Wednesday, according to My News LA.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle veered off the roadway while driving in Monterey Park. Officials said the car slammed into a building in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.
Deadly Car Accident in Monterey Park, October 20
Shortly after 12:10 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders found one man partially ejected from the vehicles. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added a second person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident in Monterey Park happened.
