At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Rollover Crash Near Tierra Rejada Road Saturday
Moorpark, CA (February 12, 2022) – One person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route 23 Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a Chevrolet Silverado rolled over on the highway in Moorpark. Earlier reports indicated the vehicle careened off approximately 35 to 40 feet off the roadway.
The CHP logged the incident at about 1:56 a.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found an elderly person trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. After they pulled out the male party, an ambulance rushed him to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. Personal information on the patient have not been discussed thus far.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic collision on State Route 23 in Moorpark.
