Car vs. Truck Accident Near Day Street Offramp Thursday
Moreno Valley, CA (January 10, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on westbound State Route 60 on January 6.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a gray Honda Civic collided with a truck on Moreno Valley (60) Freeway. The traffic accident took place around 6:30 p.m. near the Day Street offramp.
Earlier reports indicated the operator of the big rig continued driving after the collision. The hit-and-run suspect exited the freeway and left the Honda Civic disabled near the right shoulder of Moreno Valley Freeway.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found the driver of the sedan unconscious. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, then transported them to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The name of the victim and their condition at this time have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the car crash on State Route 60 in Moreno Valley.
