2 Seriously Injured in Moss Landing Head-On Crash on Highway 1
MOSS LANDING, CA (June 17, 2021) – Two were seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 1 in Moss Landing.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:15 p.m.
The incident happened when a white Range Rover crossed over the double yellow lines for an unknown reason. The car then crashed head-on into a Ford F-350 pickup truck.
2 Cars Collide Near Jensen Road
CHP said the two vehicles collided on northbound Highway 1, just south of Jensen Road in Moss Landing. The Range Rover obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took both patients to the Natividad Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 1 to shut down for about two hours following the crash. Authorities are still investigating the Moss Landing collision.
