Rider Seriously Injured in Collision on State Route 78 Wednesday
San Diego, CA (December 29, 2021) – A motorcycle rider suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route 78 Wednesday afternoon.
Big Rig vs. Motorcycle Accident in Ocotillo Wells, December 29
The ABC10 News reported a big rig struck a motorcyclist near the 5841 block of Highway 78 in the Ocotillo Wells area. Additional details on the description of the motor-vehicles involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the rider lying on the ground. According to the article published online, a helicopter airlifted the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The operator of the big rig appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the traffic accident on State Route 78.
