Motorcyclist Injured in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2022) — A collision involving a motorcycle and pickup truck happened Monday morning on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near the Florin Road East on ramp.
The collision occurred about 1 p.m. on Oct. 10th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The motorcycle rider apparently ran over a tire in the roadway in the No. 1 lane. The rider fell off the bike and suffered major injuries. Meanwhile, a gold or tan truck reportedly rear-ended a blue Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck due to the motorcycle crash blocking the fast lane.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the motorcycle and blue pickup truck from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
