Driver Killed in Collision Near Oakville Cross Road
Napa County, CA (October 12, 2022) – At least one person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Silverado Trail, the Napa Valley Register News reported.
Officials mentioned a box truck collided with a Ford Ranger pickup. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the truck was slowing down in order to turn into a driveway. While making the turn, a Ford Ranger pickup slammed into the rear of the box truck.
The crash took place at about 11:42 a.m. in the 7800 block of the Trail just north of Oakville Cross Road.
Deadly Traffic Accident on Silverado Trail in Napa County
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the driver of the Ford unconscious. Responding paramedics attempted to revive the victim but he sadly succumbed to his trauma and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The occupants in the box truck appeared unharmed after the incident.
Police shut down Silverado to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal collision that happened on Silverado Trail in Napa County.
