Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 5 Freeway Friday
National City, CA (October 29, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway Friday evening, the FOX5 News reported.
Initial records indicated a male party was seen standing in the fast lane of the freeway in National City. In the area near Civic Center South, a passing vehicle failed to avoid and hit the pedestrian.
The horrible crash took place at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Possible Hit-and-Run Collision in National City, October 29
According to the article published online, the no vehicles pulled over following the collision. Information on the alleged hit-and-run driver remained undisclosed.
Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
