1 Killed in Rollover Collision Near Division Street Monday
National City, CA (February 7, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 805 Freeway Monday morning, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided in the southbound side of the highway at approximately 2:10 a.m. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra.
Due to the force from the impact, the Civic careened off the roadway and rolled down nearby hillside. Our sources mentioned the Civic ended up on its roof in the area near Division Street and Palm Avenue.
Deadly Car Accident on 805 Freeway in National City, February 7
Responding emergency crews worked extensively to extricate the driver of the Civic. Despite life-saving measures, the man behind the wheel of the Civic sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly car crash on Interstate 805 in National City.
