Man Injured in Nestor Hit-and-Run at Hollister Street and Judith Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 16, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Hollister Street and Judith Avenue in Nestor.

According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the collision shortly after 8:40 a.m.

The incident happened on November 15 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the Nestor neighborhood of San Diego. The car hit him on Hollister Street at the intersection with Judith Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene few blocks south of Coronado Avenue, and west of Interstate 5. They found the man in his 50s hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel took the victim to a hospital for treatment of a leg injury. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and his condition at this time.

Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled the area. They described the car as a dark colored 4-door sedan.

Officers forced the intersection of Hollister and Judith to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Nestor hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
