Pedestrian Injured in Newhall Crash at Railroad Avenue and Market Street
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 15, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after an accident near Railroad Avenue and Market Street in the Newhall community.
According to an article published by the Hometown Station, the accident occurred on Saturday. Officers reported the crash at around 12 a.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Newhall. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Market Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Master’s College
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene, just west of the Master’s College. They found the victim suffering from traumatic injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if the motorist involved stopped after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Railroad Avenue and Market Street to close following the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Newhall pedestrian accident.
