Nicholas Descisciolo, 33, Killed in Lancaster Crash at Avenue J-8 and Challenger Way
LANCASTER, CA (May 25, 2021) – A motorcycle crash killed Nicholas Descisciolo at Avenue J-8 and Challenger Way in Lancaster.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the 33-year-old Lake Hughes man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Monday.
The incident happened when Nicholas Descisciolo was riding a Honda motorcycle north on Challenger Way in Lancaster. At the same time, a Honda car was going west on Avenue J-8.
For an unknown reason, the Honda did not stop for the red signal light at the intersection with Challenger Way. In the process, the woman driving the car collided with the motorcyclist.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Motorcyclist
The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said Nicholas Descisciolo ended up ejected from his bike as a result of the crash. The motorcycle then struck a Kia that was stopped at a red light on Avenue J-8.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. The Antelope Valley Times wrote that the accident took place on May 24 at around 11:54 a.m.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that Descisciolo had a green light when the wreck took place. The cause of the Lancaster crash still under investigation.
