3 Injured in North Highlands Crash on Interstate 80 Near Madison Avenue
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (October 30, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near Madison Avenue in North Highlands.
According to an article published by the FOX 40 News, the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:52 p.m.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said multiple cars collided for an unknown reason in North Highlands. Five vehicles crashed on the westbound Interstate 80, west of Madison Avenue.
Multiple Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
One victim sustained critical injuries while the other two survived the incident with minor injuries. Medical personnel then rushed all three patients to hospitals for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the North Highlands crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down near Madison following the wreck.
