Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in North Highlands Crash at Elkhorn Boulevard and 30th Street
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (September 5, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Elkhorn Boulevard and 30th Street in North Highlands.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:08 a.m.
The incident began when a car, described as a brown Cadillac SRX, made an illegal turn in North Highlands. In the process, the motorcycle rider collided with the vehicle.
Motorcycle Rider and Car Collide
CHP said the two crashed at the intersection of Elkhorn Boulevard and 30th Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of Elkhorn Boulevard and 30th Street to shut down after the collision. The cause of the North Highlands crash is still under investigation.
