North Highlands Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Watt and Orange Grove Avenues

Pedestrian Injured in North Highlands Hit-and-Run at Watt and Orange Grove

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (December 29, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Watt and Orange Grove avenues in North Highlands.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Wednesday. Officers reported the collision shortly before 3 a.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in North Highlands. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Watt and Orange Grove avenues.

Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 80. They found the victim left lying on the ground as a result of the collision

Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area.  Officers forced the corner of Watt and Orange Grove avenues to shut down following the collision.

The cause of the North Highlands hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
