Rider Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Olompali State Historic Park Monday
Novato, CA (March 8, 2022) – A motorcyclist died following a traffic accident that occurred on U.S. Highway 101 Monday morning, the CBS News reported.
Our sources indicated a Petaluma man was riding a motorcycle raveling south on the highway in Novato. When the motorcyclist approached the area near San Antonio Road offramp, he collided with two other vehicle traveling in the same direction.
Preliminary investigation revealed traffic ahead the rider slowed suddenly. Then, the motorcyclist crashed into the back of a van. Due to the force from the impact, the rider spun around and hit a truck in the slow lane.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in Novato, March 7
Authorities said the motorcyclist was ejected from his motorbike. Shortly after 6:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location and found the man lying on the ground near the San Antonio Road offramp. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly crash happened on Highway 101 in Novato.
