2 Hurt After Collision on Bay Bridge Sunday
Oakland, CA (February 6, 2022) – At least two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 80 Sunday evening.
The KRON4 News reported a marked California Highway Patrol car collided with another vehicle on the Bay Bridge. Additional details on the make and model of the automobiles involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.
Officials mentioned the horrible crash took place in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near the toll plaza on the Bay Bridge.
When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to all parties found at the site. Paramedics attended to the victims and later discovered to people sustained major trauma as a result of the wreck.
It remained unclear if the CHP officer was one of the victims in the accident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car crash happened on Interstate 80 in Oakland.
