Firefighters Injured in Collision at 20th Street and Broadway
Oakland, CA (July 23, 2022) – Several firefighters suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of 20th Street and Broadway.
Fire Truck Accident in Oakland
The KTVU News reported two ladder trucks crashed into each other at the intersection in Oakland. Officials said the collision took place on July 17 at approximately 8 a.m.
According to the article published online, both teams of firefighters were responding to a fire in a now vacant building–formerly owned by Pacific Gas and Electric building.
The force from the impact resulted in significant damage to both truck. Per local news source, the accident resulted in injuries to four Oakland firefighters. The names of the people hurt, and their conditions at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the crash at 20th Street and Broadway in Oakland.
