Children Injured in Oakley Pedestrian Accident on Portsmouth Street
OAKLEY, CA (April 2, 2021) – Two children were hospitalized after a pedestrian accident along Portsmouth Street in Oakley.
According to the East Bay Times and East County Today, the incident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the crash shortly after 4 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck two girls, ages 6 and 4. The driver hit them in the 1300 block of Portsmouth Street in Oakley.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the victims injured as a result of the collision. The older child suffered a head injury while the younger sustained minor wounds.
An air ambulance took one of them to Children’s Hospital Oakland. A ground ambulance rushed the second patient to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch for treatment.
Officials did not release their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the children.
Authorities forced Portsmouth Street to shut down following the crash. They are still investigating the cause of the Oakley pedestrian accident.
