1 Seriously Injured in Oakley Crash State Route 160 Near Antioch Bridge
OAKLEY, CA (February 14, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on State Route 160 near the Antioch Bridge in Oakley.
According to an article published by the KRON 4 News, the accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:53 a.m.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Oakley. They crashed on northbound State Route 160, north of the Antioch Bridge.
Car and Amazon Truck Collide
CHP described the vehicles as an Amazon truck and a silver sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, north of the Wilbur Avenue on-ramp.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Oakley crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the northbound lanes of State Route 160 to shut down near the Antioch Bridge following the wreck.
