Obed Heredia, 30, Killed in La Quinta Hit-and-Run Near Avenida Mendoza and Calle Sinaloa
LA QUINTA, CA (June 14, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed Obed Heredia near Avenida Mendoza and Calle Sinaloa in La Quinta.
The coroner’s office identified the 30-year-old La Quinta man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred last week on Monday.
Deputies said a vehicle struck Obed Heredia for an unknown reason in La Quinta. The driver hit him near the intersection of Avenida Mendoza and Calle Sinaloa.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man left lying on the ground. Obed Heredia sustained major injuries as a result of the La Quinta crash.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital and placed him on life support. Reports indicated that the victim died a week later.
KESQ News wrote that the accident took place on June 7 at about 5:22 a.m. Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to Heredia and fled the area.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The tragic La Quinta hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
