Scooter Rider Injured in Oceano Hit-and-Run Crash at 19th Street and Beach Street
OCEANO, CA (October 11, 2021) – A scooter rider was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at 19th Street and Beach Street in Oceano.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Monday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
CHP determined that a vehicle struck the rider of a scooter in Oceano. The driver hit the victim for an unknown reason at the intersection of 19th Street and Beach Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 1. They found the rider left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help and then fled westbound on Beach Street. Officers forced the area of 19th and Beach streets to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Oceano hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
