1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Collision Near Dunaway Road Offramp
Ocotillo, CA (November 20, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 8, also known as Kumeyaay Highway.
Our sources indicated two vehicles crashed into each other in the eastbound side of the freeway in Ocotillo. Rescue teams responded to the area near Dunaway Road offramp and found two cars flipped on their sides.
CHP logged the incident Sunday around 7:03 p.m.
Deadly Traffic Accident on Interstate 8 in Ocotillo
According to the dispatch, one person suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added a second person sustained minor wounds in the crash. Personal information on the victim have not been revealed thus far.
At this time, detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up the deadly accident on Interstate 8 in Ocotillo.
