Pedestrian Killed in Oildale Crash at Chester and Warren Avenues
OILDALE, CA (May 27, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Chester Avenue and Warren Avenue in Oildale.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision on May 27 at about 9:26 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver hit the person at the intersection of North Chester and East Warren avenues.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist involved stopped and stayed at the site following the accident. The cause of the fatal Oildale pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Chester and Warren avenues to shut down for a time after the incident.
