Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Oildale Crash at Woodrow Avenue and Sheldon Drive
OILDALE, (July 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Woodrow Avenue and Sheldon Drive in Oildale.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
CHP said a red Ford F150 pickup truck collided with the motorcycle rider for an unknown reason in Oildale. The two crashed at the intersection of Woodrow Avenue and Sheldon Drive.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the North Beardsley Primary School. They found the motorcyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car stopped or if they stayed at the site following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Woodrow and Sheldon to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Oildale crash is still under investigation.
