Pedestrian Badly Injured in Crash at Norris Road and Oildale Drive
OILDALE, CA (February 6, 2022) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a crash at Norris Road and Oildale Drive in Oildale.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 3:54 p.m.
The incident happened on February 1 when a driver hit the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The motorist hit the victim at the intersection of Norris Road and Oildale Drive.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
CHP said two vehicles apparently collided in the area at the time. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Sears Park.
Medical personnel found the victim who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person.
Officers forced the area of Norris Road and Oildale Drive to shut down following the pedestrian accident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
