Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Oildale Crash Near Chester and McCord Avenues
OILDALE, CA (February 8, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash near Chester and McCord avenues in Oildale.
According to an article published by the Bakersfield Now, the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at around 9 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver hit the person near the intersection of North Chester and McCord avenues.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Roberts Lane. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kern Medical for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officials forced the area of Chester and McCord avenues to shut down following the accident.
The cause of the Oildale pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
