Pedestrian Injured in Oildale Hit-and-Run Near Manor and Roberts
OILDALE, CA (December 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash near Manor Street and Roberts Lane in Oildale.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision 5:22 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver hit him on Manor Street under the Roberts Lane overcrossing.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim down in the lanes as a result of the collision
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled the site. Officers forced the area of Manor and Roberts to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Oildale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
