Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Ojai Crash on Highway 33 Friday
OJAI, CA (November 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 33 in the city of Ojai.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Friday evening. According to their report, the wreck occurred shortly after 6 p.m.
The incident happened when the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on Highway 33, known as Maricopa Highway, in Ojai.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist hurt. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 33 to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Ojai crash is still under investigation.
