1 Injured in Ontario Hit-and-Run Crash on 15 Freeway Near 10 Freeway
ONTARIO, CA (January 4, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on the 15 Freeway near the 10 Freeway in Ontario.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Tuesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 6:15 p.m.
The incident happened when a white Toyota Camry and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the city of Ontario. The two crashed on the northbound 15 Freeway, just south of the 10 Freeway.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Toyota who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and then fled the area. Officers forced the northbound side of the 15 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Ontario hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
