1 Killed in Orange Crash on 5 Freeway Near State College Boulevard
ORANGE, CA (November 8, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on the 5 Freeway near State College Boulevard in Orange.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:10 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Orange. They crashed on the northbound 5 Freeway near State College Boulevard.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a black Mini Cooper and an SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene Near the City Drive.
They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down for a time near State College following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Orange crash is still under investigation.
