1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured in Oro Grande Crash on National Trails Highway
ORO GRANDE, CA (October 14, 2022) – A crash killed one person and critically injured two others on National Trails Highway in Oro Grande.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:15 p.m.
The incident happened when a white BMW 340i and a silver VW Hatchback 4-door sedan collided for an unknown reason in the community of Oro Grande.
Both cars obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. The vehicles then came to a stop along the dirt shoulder across the main entrance to the CalPortland Cement plant.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced one individual dead. Two people, an adult and a child, sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident.
Two helicopters flew the juvenile to the Loma Linda University Medical Center and the other patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of National Trails Highway to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Oro Grande crash is still under investigation.
