Yuba City Man Dies at Hospital After Crash Near Highway 70 Friday
Oroville, CA (February 4, 2022) – A 38-year-old man from Yuba City suffered fatal injuries following a rollover crash Highway 70 Friday morning.
The CBS News reported the unidentified male party was driving a Polaris in a field west of Highway 70. Our sources indicated the off-road vehicle made a turning movement near Power House Hill Road. In the process, the driver lost control of the Polaris and overturned.
According to the article published online, the driver and passenger were both ejected out into the field. Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 11:30 a.m. Paramedics attended to the two victims, then transported them to the hospital.
Officials said the driver sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the deceased remained undisclosed. Authorities added the passenger sustained moderate injuries and continued treatment at the hospital.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the unfortunate event near Highway 70 in Oroville.
