Oscar Garcia, 45, Killed in Stanislaus County Crash on West Main Street
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (March 2, 2022) – Oscar Garcia was killed after a car crash on West Main Street in Stanislaus County.
The coroner’s office identified the 45-year-old Patterson man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Monday morning.
The incident happened when Oscar Armando Garcia was driving a 2006 Honda sedan east on West Main Street in Stanislaus County. At the same time, a 2016 Subaru SUV was going west.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
The driver of the Subaru, 36-year-old Abraham Farias, then entered the eastbound lane to pass traffic. In the process, the Turlock man slammed head-on into the Honda.
The California Highway Patrol said the two cars crashed just west of Carpenter Road. The Subaru rolled over and soon caught fire due to the impact of the collision.
Oscar Garcia and Abraham Farias died at the scene of the crash. The Modesto Bee and The Turlock Journal wrote that the accident occurred on February 28 at about 5:45 a.m.
The cause of the Stanislaus County crash west of Turlock is still under investigation.
