Teen Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Picador Boulevard
Otay Mesa West, CA (August 6, 2022) – A 17-year-old male suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Picador Boulevard, the FOX5 and San Diego Union-Tribune News reported.
Our sources indicated a 2012 Hyundai Elantra struck the teenager in the 800 block of Picador Boulevard. Preliminary investigation revealed the car was heading south in the first lane of Picador. When the boy stepped into the traffic lanes in an attempt to cross the street, the motorist was unable to avoid and hit the pedestrian.
Pedestrian Hospitalized After Accident in Otay Mesa West
Shortly after 8:01 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the teenager. Due to the serious condition of the victim, medical personnel rushed him to a hospital. The article published online mentioned the teenager sustained a fracture to his left leg, and a six-inch cut on his left hip.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate liability in the pedestrian accident that happened on Picador Boulevard in Otay Mesa West.
