1 Killed, 1 Injured in Oxnard Crash at H Street and Holly Avenue
OXNARD, CA (November 8, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another at H Street and Holly Avenue in Oxnard.
According to The Ventura County Star and KEYT News, the tragic accident took place last week on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:43 p.m.
The incident happened on November 5 when a Dodge Durango was going north on H Street, approaching Holly Avenue, in Oxnard. At the same time, a Toyota Tacoma was traveling west on Holly.
Police said the two cars then collided for an unknown reason in the intersection. The 84-year-old Oxnard woman driving the Tacoma sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed her to the Ventura County Medical Center where she died.
The driver of the Dodge, a 40-year-old Oxnard man, survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel took him to the Community Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced the area of H Street and Holly Avenue to shut down for hours following the wreck.
