Woman Hit and Injured by Vehicle at 5th and K Street Tuesday
Oxnard, CA (March 1, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of 5th and K Street.
According to KVTA News, a vehicle struck a female party at the intersection in Oxnard. Earlier reports indicated the woman was in the crosswalk walking northbound across 5th and K.
Authorities said a vehicle heading west on 5th failed to yield to the pedestrian and hit her. After the collision, the driver reportedly fled the scene and abandoned the woman.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the pedestrian found with severe injuries. An ambulance subsequently rushed the woman to Ventura County Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. Pending confirmation, the name of the patient remained undisclosed.
Detectives handling the case continue to gather leads and information to identify the hit-and-run suspect. Further investigation is underway on the pedestrian accident at 5th and K Street in Oxnard.
