Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Pacifica Crash on Highway 1 Near Devil’s Slide
PACIFICA, CA (September 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 1 near the Devil’s Slide trail in Pacifica.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 3 p.m.
CHP said a silver Toyota Camry and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Pacifica. The two crashed on southbound Highway 1, just south of the Devil’s Slide trail.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Old Devil’s Slide Highway. They then found the motorcyclist lying in the center divider as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the Toyota obtained moderate front-end damage and a broken front tire after the collision. The cause of the Pacifica crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 1 near the Devil’s Slide to shut down for half an hour following the wreck.
